Steering & Suspension

is your car pulling to one side? Maybe your tyres are showing uneven wear?

Proper steering alignment keeps you moving straight ahead, while a maintained suspension system keeps you from feeling any bumps along the way. At Bondi Mechanical we can help set you in the right direction with a safe and smooth ride.

Our steering and suspension services

Worn steering, suspension and drive line components lead to all sorts of problems. That's why we completely inspect your steering and suspension system with every alignment. By replacing worn parts you regain control and handling to return your vehicle to its optimal performance.
Key parts we repair or replace include:

  • Ball joints
  • Bushing
  • Sway bar links
  • Center links
  • Idler arms/pitman arms
  • Rack and pinion units
  • Tie rod ends/sleeves
  • CV joints/boots
  • CV axle half shafts
  • Shock absorbers
  • MacPherson struts/cartridges

Is It Time For a Wheel Alignment Service?

Driving over potholes, speed bumps or kerbs can knock your wheel alignment out. This can lead to uneven wear on your tyres and it could feel like you car is 'pulling' to one side. This in turn can lead to an increase in fuel consumption and premature wear on your tyres.

Correct wheel alignment ensures that the tyres are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other, and that on a level straight road your car will travel in a true straight line.

We recommend that you get your alignment checked regularly and every time after any violent shocks to your tyres, for example hitting a kerb, pothole or speed bump at speed.

Alignment Check

  • Inspect steering and suspension system, including tire condition and air pressure.
  • Put vehicle on alignment rack. Mount and compensate sensors.
  • Print out alignment readings.
